Operation Thailand follows the journeys of 30 Australian men and women who travel to Thailand, combining cosmetic and dental procedures with a luxury holiday. The patients are from all parts of Australia – and each share the dream of tackling their own insecurities with a surgery or dental makeover. It’s a journey that will change their lives forever.
Each episode will see three patients turn to one another for support through the challenges of their procedures, and then relax in five-star hotels and resorts during their recovery. Friendships will be forged and demons will be conquered. For some, their medical treatment will be an emotional roller coaster. Tears are guaranteed to flow, as the home-sick patients miss their family and friends. But with such significant makeovers, will the patients be happy with the end result? And how will family and friends react to their transformations when they arrive home for their reveals?

Choosing the right surgeon and hospital, and even knowing what procedures may be best, can be a daunting proposition for a patient. Even more so when it involves travelling overseas to a foreign country where English is not the national language. CosMediTour’s highly experienced Client Managers are there to guide patients through the entire process, from the initial contact until after they return home.
CosMediTour has a team including medical personnel based in its primary surgery travel destinations of Bangkok and Phuket, so a patient is never left to fend for themselves in a foreign country. There are also Patient Liaison personnel on staff 7 days a week to assist with all matters relating to a patient’s surgery, hospital transfers, consultations and follow ups – as well as for advice and assistance during their stay in relation to getting around, sightseeing, local customs and attractions.
